Updates to this site occur regularly in the Newsletter section. This section includes highlights from recent City Council meetings and other information regarding the community and activities of our City government. Hopefully you will find these twice monthly newsletters to be interesting and informative. Depending on time, I plan to update the home page with pictures and articles on recent or upcoming community events.

Michigan Week (19-26 May): Celebrate Grand Ledge!

Michigan Week 2012 will be celebrated in Grand Ledge for 8 days as "Michigan Week: Celebrate Grand Ledge!" beginning Saturday 19 May and running through Saturday 26 May with one event falling on Wednesday 30 May. It will begin on Armed Forces Day with a tribute to our troops and end with the City's Memorial Day Parade and tribute to those who have died for our country.

Michigan Week has been celebrated since 1954 as a way to promote state pride among citizens and to celebrate the rich heritage and unique features that make Michigan Special. For years, most communities and the State itself observed Michigan Week in a multitude of ways. Over the years the number of communities to recognize Michigan Week has dwindled to a very few. In the City of Grand Ledge, Michigan Week is still observed with enthusiastic appreciation of our Great State and our City.
